Full body MRI wellness scans are used as a screening tool in healthy patients to identify abnormalities such as cancer. Full body wellness scans are performed on a wide range of patients including those who are at high risk for developing a particular type of medical condition due to long standing habits (smoking, drinking, or a strong family history).
Our beautiful, brand new office, provides full body wellness MRI scans with the highest accuracy, resolution and quality in Orange County. Pacific Interventionalists' MRI unit is one of the most advanced machines available, a 3 Tesla MRI. There are only three 3 Tesla MRI machines in Orange County making Pacific Interventionalists one of the leaders in the MRI field. This allows us to offer the highest resolution medical images available anywhere.
Open MRI was once the most popular type of MRI. However, over the past several years, the MRI quality from an open MRI has fallen behind the quality of new 3T MRI scanners like ours. Today, most leading doctors insist on a high quality 3T MRI scan since open MRI, upright MRI, and other lower power MRI machines produce poorer image quality.
The MRI image on the left above shows an example of our image quality, while the scan on the right would be comparable to a lower quality MRI scan. Our 3 Tesla MRI machine is capable of providing images which are of much higher resolution than other .75 or 1.5 Tesla MRI machines, or 'open MRI' and 'upright MRI' machines commonly found in Orange County.
Wellness MRI scans take about 60 minutes to complete. With our 3 Tesla MRI, the amount of data that can be aquired in those 60 minutes is amazing. The entire head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis can be imaged in that short amount of time. MRI scans require NO radiation allowing us to provide a full body scan without the risks associated with a traditional CAT Scan test.
Important Points To Consider When Deciding on Whether to Have a Wellness MRI:- MRI Full Body Wellness Scans are superior to CAT Scans because they cause no radiation exposure to the patient. A wellness CT scan causes as much radiation as 500 basic chest X-rays!

of all the internal organs.
- Wellness scans are available on our 3 Tesla MRI for $600 per scan. This includes all costs associated with your scan, including Radiologists interpretation and a CD copy of your study.
- Direct patient referrals are accepted. No doctors order is necessary.
- Patients will be asked to complete a short medical history prior to your scan.
- Patients with pacemakers and other metal implants may not be eligible for a Full Body Wellness MRI scan.
- For patients, sedation is available if necessary. Additional costs may apply.
